FTTH Network development in Visby old town district

Scope of work: trenching works, installation of ducts, stone setting, fiber optic cables, pulling and connection works, subscriber connection, fiber blowing, splicing and closure, cabinet connection, placing of passive optical hardware (ODF, UPS, etc.) in the access node, final testing and inspection.

The fiber network that RNDV Group has been working on in Visby, Sweden has been bought by the largest fiber network provider in the country – Skanova, a Telia affiliate company.

Joakim Aspelin, Head of Infrastructure Region North of Skanova, said that they are happy to be able to acquire a network that meets their highest quality requirements.

Initially, the FTTH network was designed to have 1,300 connections, but Skanova is planning to continue the development and to reach approximately 2,000 connections in total.
